Horizon Nine (H9), a small local company in Thailand, was established in the year 2007 by Mr. Prinya. It was set to deliver design and high quality furniture products to high-end B2C and B2B segments. The company has a strong history and expertise in the (furniture) painting industry, having the backing of Thailand’s oldest and No.1 Paint Company, BT1. As expected from any new company, the flexibility and opportunity for the company comes hand in hand with various numbers of issues that needs to be dealt with. The company is looking to grow at a good pace whilst solidifying itself internally. The goal of the company is to establish itself as a strong player in the built-in kitchen furniture market with the long term vision of being an integrated interior designer. With Mr. Prinya focused on making H9 a success, the company needs to act fast in order to be immune to the competitive pressure. This case brings up several issues pertaining to marketing, finance, operation and ethical problems. However, the big picture is WHAT IS THE NEXT STEP FOR H9?
